Preferred Power, Inc. and SEDCO, Inc. Agree to Purchase Engine Power of Memphis Distribution Business

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – August 2, 2004 – Preferred Power, Inc. and SEDCO, Inc., which are Briggs & Stratton distributors, have agreed to acquire the Briggs & Stratton distribution and assets of Engine Power of Memphis with the transition officially taking place August 2.

Preferred Power, Inc. will service accounts in Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky formerly served by Engine Power of Memphis.SEDCO, Inc. will assume responsibility for servicing accounts handled by Engine Power of Memphis in Arkansas and Northern Mississippi.
