Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group to Relocate Corporate Office to Brookfield, Wisconsin.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – August 16, 2006 – The Yard Power Products Group of Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced today that it would relocate its corporate office to Brookfield, Wisconsin, across the street from Briggs & Stratton's corporate offices. 

Yard Power Products Group is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of a broad range of premium outdoor power equipment used in both consumer and commercial lawn and garden applications.

"This move will further enhance our high value integration efforts of both businesses by leveraging valuable resources currently located at the company's headquarters. This will also allow us to provide greatly enhanced dealer and customer support as an integrated end product manufacturer," stated Vince Shiely, President Yard Power Products Group.

Approximately 90 employees will relocate from Port Washington to the new leased offices located in Brookfield. The move is expected to take place in Fall 2006.
